Course Platforms With No Transaction Fees: 9 Compared (2026)

Several course platforms for coaches and wellness teachers charge no transaction fees on their paid plans: Marvelous, Systeme.io, Kajabi (with Kajabi Payments), Teachable from Builder up, Thinkific (with Thinkific Payments), Podia from Shaker up and OfferingTree from Pro up. Every platform still passes on payment processing. The fees that differ are the ones a platform adds on top.

That difference matters more than the sticker price. A 5% fee on $3,000 a month in sales is $150, every month, on top of your plan. This guide compares nine platforms on the fees each one adds, the cheapest plan with no transaction fee, and what you actually pay at a realistic revenue level.

The short answer

Lowest-cost plan with no transaction fee: Systeme.io. It lists 0% transaction fees on every plan, including a free plan, with paid plans from $17 a month. It is built around sales funnels and email, so if you teach live classes, check how it handles them before you commit.

No fees, with live classes, courses, memberships and one-to-one sessions on one platform: Marvelous. No revenue fees on any plan, and plans start at $79 a month ($66 a month billed annually). Video-first businesses: Uscreen lists no transaction fee, but its Growth and App Essentials plans add $1.99 or $0.99 per subscriber, every month.

Three kinds of fees, and only one is unavoidable

When a platform says it has “no fees”, check which fee it means. There are three kinds.

• Payment processing. Stripe, PayPal or the platform’s own processor charges this on every card payment. Stripe’s standard US rate is 2.9% plus 30 cents. Every platform passes it on, including Marvelous, so compare platforms without it.

• Transaction fees. A percentage the platform keeps from each sale, on top of processing. This is the fee that varies, and it is the one this guide is about.

• Per-member or per-subscriber fees. A flat amount for each paying member, every month. It works like a transaction fee that grows with your audience instead of your revenue.

One more sits in the fine print: some platforms add a fee only when you connect an outside payment processor instead of theirs. Kajabi and Thinkific both do this.

What the fees cost at $3,000 a month

Percentages are easy to wave away. Here is what each plan costs a teacher earning $3,000 a month from courses and memberships, before payment processing, which every platform charges.

The pattern: an entry plan with a fee stops being the cheap option sooner than most people expect. Teachable Starter costs more than Builder once you sell about $670 a month. OfferingTree Essentials passes Pro at about $830. Podia Mover passes Shaker at $1,000.

Platform by platform

1. Marvelous: no revenue fees on any plan

We built Marvelous for wellness creators: yoga teachers, coaches, pilates and meditation teachers. Courses, memberships, live classes and livestreams, one-to-one sessions, your website and our Well Well Well marketplace live in one place. We have been doing this since 2014, and we never take a share of what you earn. You pay your plan and standard Stripe or PayPal processing, nothing else.

• Plans: Essentials $79 a month ($66 billed annually), Solo $125 ($104), Pro $179 ($149).

• Fees: none from us on any plan. Stripe or PayPal processing applies.

• Honest limits: Essentials allows 10 video uploads; Solo and Pro are unlimited. Our built-in email is basic (reminders and notifications to students), so for newsletters you can connect Kit, Flodesk or Mailchimp. And we are not the cheapest no-fee option. If you only sell one self-paced course, Systeme.io may cost less.

2. Systeme.io: 0% fees from a free plan

Systeme.io lists 0% transaction fees on every plan, including its free plan. Paid plans are $17, $47 and $97 a month, with two months free on annual billing. It is built around sales funnels, email and courses, which suits creators who sell self-paced programs through a funnel. If your business runs on live classes, class packs or one-to-one bookings, check how it handles those before you move.

3. Kajabi: no revenue share, with a catch on outside processors

Kajabi takes no revenue share on any plan. With Kajabi Payments you pay its processing fee, 2.9% plus 30 cents for US accounts on Basic and slightly less on higher plans. Connect a different processor and Kajabi adds 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro (its pricing page excludes PayPal from this). 4. Teachable: 7.5% on Starter, 0% from Builder

Starter is $39 a month ($29 billed annually) and keeps 7.5% of every sale. Builder ($89, or $69 billed annually) and Growth ($189, or $139) drop that to 0% when you use Teachable Payments, though standard processing still applies. Teachable has no free plan. 5. Thinkific: no fee with Thinkific Payments

Plans start at $109 a month ($82 billed annually). With Thinkific Payments you pay processing in line with Stripe and PayPal, which Thinkific quotes at 2.9%, and no platform fee. Connect Stripe or PayPal directly and Thinkific adds a gateway fee that varies by plan, so check its current rates if you plan to keep your own processor.

6. Podia: 5% on Mover

Mover is $49 a month ($42 billed annually) with a 5% transaction fee. Shaker ($99, or $84 annually) and Earthquaker ($179, or $150 annually) have no Podia fees. Stripe or PayPal processing of 2.9% plus 30 cents applies on every plan.

7. OfferingTree: 2.9% on Essentials

OfferingTree is built for yoga and wellness teachers. Essentials is $35 a month ($26 billed annually) with a 2.9% transaction fee on top of processing. Pro ($59, or $49 annually) and Pro Plus ($99, or $83 annually) have a 0% transaction fee.

8. Mighty Networks: a fee on every plan

Launch is $79 a month with a 2% transaction fee. Scale ($179 a month) charges 1%, and Growth ($354 a month) and the custom-priced Mighty Pro charge 0.5%. If community is the heart of your business, the fee may be worth it, but it never reaches zero.

9. Uscreen: no transaction fee, but a per-subscriber fee

Uscreen lists no transaction fee. Starter is $49 a month, billed monthly only, with no subscriber fee (it was on promotion at $39 when we checked). Growth is $149 a month billed annually plus $1.99 per subscriber, and App Essentials is $449 a month billed annually plus $0.99 per subscriber. At 100 subscribers, the Growth subscriber fee alone is $199 a month.

How to choose

• If you sell less than about $700 a month, an entry plan with a fee can cost less. Run the math with your own numbers.

• If you sell more than that, pick a plan with no transaction fee. The savings grow every month you grow.

• If your membership is growing, be careful with per-member pricing unless the video features are worth it to you.
